On the lookout for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in general accounting principles and experience with monthly close processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports
Assist with audits and provide requested documentation
Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify variances or errors
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
Collaborate with other departments to support financial operations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in financial services
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vLookups) and accounting software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred:
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, QuickBooks)
CPA eligibility or progress toward certification
